Case:
Harol

On the grounds of Harol - manufacturer of roller shutters, blinds and gates, among other things - the Aspiravi Group built one wind turbine in 2021, the green power of which is partly harnessed by the company and partly fed into the grid.

Sustainable and optimal energy consumption on production site

In their search for a suitable site to expand the existing wind farm along the E314 motorway, Aspiravi Group landed on the Webbekom industrial estate in Diest. The ideal location was found on Harol’s grounds, while the company itself saw the collaboration as an opportunity to optimise their energy consumption and make it more sustainable.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreement

It was decided to connect the new wind turbine both to the grid and to Harol’s own electrical installation via an on-site Corporate PPA (Power Purchase Agreement). Annick Draelants, CEO of Harol: “We are delighted to run entirely on green energy. Our own production based on 100% renewable energy fits in nicely with the sustainable, future-proof solutions Harol offers today.”
