Green power directly from nearby wind turbines

Sports giant Nike did not have to look far for a solution to partly switch their logistics centre in Ham to locally produced green energy. Since 2016, the Aspiravi group has been operating two wind turbines just next to the Nike site, from which 100% of the power harnessed will now be used by the company.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreement

This is done through a direct line or Corporate PPA (Power Purchase Agreement), where the wind turbines were disconnected from the public grid and then connected directly to the grid of Nike’s logistics centre.
